Whether you love or hate GOOP (or don’t event know what it is), you have to admit, Gwyneth Paltrow is killing it. Not only does her face and body look the same as it did over 20 years ago (seriously, this photo was taken in 1990), the 40-year-old actress, model, mother-of-two continues to drop jaws with her poise and style.
So how on earth does Gwyneth do it? Well, as you might know, she (and her family) follow an extremely limited diet. In press interviews for her new cookbook It’s All Good she says that she has cut out everything, from gluten to sugar, in order to live a more balanced life, devoid of panic attacks and meltdowns. Close to a total detox, the cookbook is based on an “elimination diet” that makes you “look good and feel great.”
“My doctor, Alejandro Junger, recommended that I cut out basically everything: dairy, sugar, gluten, anything processed…that’s why I made the book: to stop eating brown rice out of the fridge because I didn’t know what else to eat—it was demoralizing,” she says.
Since good nutrition is the foundation of great skin and health (sugar and processed foods prematurely age your skin), it looks like Gwyneth is really on to something. However, she does have some other age-defying tricks up her sleeve. While she says she hasn’t had any plastic surgery, she has had Thermage, which is considered by many experts to be the preferred treatment for tightening and smoothing the skin, and creating more collagen.
