Exclusive: This Hands-Free LED Lip Mask Targets Lines and Wrinkles featured image

LED face masks have taken the beauty world by storm, and for a good reason. By stimulating collagen production in the skin, red light therapy helps to improve blood circulation and lessens inflammation in the skin. Dr. Dennis Gross is a pioneer in the LED mask space. The brand’s full-face DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro and eye-specific SpectraLite EyeCare Max Pro have already garnered industry and consumer attention. Now, the dermatologist-developed brand is completing its LED trifecta with its launch of the FDA-cleared Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite LipWare Pro, formulated specifically for the lips.

What it is:

Outfitted with 56 LED red lights, this lip device covers the entire lip area to stimulate natural collagen production and treat visible signs of aging including fine lines, creases on and around the lips and wrinkles in the area. According to the brand, Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite LipWare Pro uses a full spectrum of light including amber, red, deep red and infrared wavelengths and offers “enhanced natural color and visibly fuller, more defined lips over time.”

How to use it:

A detachable mouthpiece allows for the mask to be handsfree and multitasking-friendly. Insert the mouthpiece and close your mouth to hold it in place. Or, remove the tray and hold the device against the lips for the treatment.

The device is pre-programmed for a treatment time of 3 minutes for a quick, streamlined treatment. Once treatment is complete, clean the mouthpiece (if used) with lukewarm water.

Where to buy it:

DRx SpectraLite LipWare Pro ($148) will be available at Sephora.com and the brand’s website on 7/25.
