Friends may have wrapped almost 20 years ago, and while we may never crack the real-estate code for how Monica could afford that spacious New York apartment, little tidbits from the beloved show can easily make our day.
Case in point: A little beauty trivia concerning Courteney Cox herself.
The Homecourt founder and Dermalogica partner knows a thing or two about wellness and skin care and, according to the professional brand, she was first introduced to Dermalogica products while filming Friends, as it was used in Monica and Rachel’s bathroom. (More specifically, the Cleansing Gel makes a cameo in the season finale in which Monica is getting married.)
“I was like, ‘Oh, I want to try that,'” Cox told People earlier this year, specifically calling out the soap-free Special Cleansing Gel ($68) that sat on the famous apartment’s shelves.
A fan of the brand for many years, Cox also frequently uses the Daily Microfoliant ($18) and Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 50 ($79), and lists the Dynamic Skin Retinol Serum ($92) as a “favorite” because “it smooths skin texture and evens my skin tone without irritation.”
The high-dose wrinkle serum claims to visibly reduce the four signs of skin aging in just two weeks and prides itself on being gentle enough for nightly use.
The star also commends the brand on its strong science: “It’s such a research-based company, and they’ve been around for so long,” she told Glamour. “I love the fact that whatever my skin care needs are, I can find the product that will work. They’re so detailed; it’s not just like one-size-fits-all. It’s very specific, and I think it’s great that whatever I’m experiencing, it’s available.”
