Charli D’Amelio rolled up the MTV Video Music Awards looking classically gorgeous. She was sporting a chic bob and a bold red lip to complement her black and white gown. All eyes will be on her while she presents an award tonight, so she made sure her skin is glowing.
Celebrity makeup artist Olivia Madorma prepped the star’s skin ahead of doing her glam for the evening. The plan was to keep her complexion the star of the show. “We wanted to show off Charli’s beautiful skin as the focus and highlight of this look,” says Madorma. To achieve this, Madorma used CeraVe products “to prep and hydrate her skin to give it that glow, complimenting that gorgeous deep red lip.”
Madorma used Cerave’s new Ultra-Light Moisturizing Gel ($21) for “extra hydration to allow the makeup to lay flawlessly on the skin.” She adds that it’s fast absorbing and weightless on skin, creating a great base layer for makeup.
To ensure that D’Amelio’s under-eye makeup went on seamlessly, Madorma applied CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream ($25). “This product has caffeine in it to reduce puffiness and niacinamide to ensure a flawless, creaseless finish.”
D’Amelio’s face and body were hydrated with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream ($20). Pro tip: Madorma lightly dabbed a very thin layer of the moisturizer on top of the foundation and concealer. Doing this at the high points of her cheeks creates a natural-looking highlight.
