Charles Melton has maneuvered swiftly up the Riverdale to multi-award-nominated actor pipeline this awards season, and fans are watching in awe. The Critics Choice Award nominee has always seemed remarkably down to earth regardless of his handsome Hollywood looks and millions of adoring followers. At the Critics Choice Awards, Melton proved just how much he’s one of us when he went with drugstore skin-care for his big night over pricey products.
Charles Melton’s drugstore skin-care faves
Celebrity groomer Candice Birns used CeraVe Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C Serum ($29) after cleansing Melton’s skin. Then she applied a bit of caffeine-packed CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream ($25), “which helps reduce puffiness and visibly smooths and brightens the skin.” She says she likes to “layer these products in this order as it gives the skin a natural healthy glow for any red carpet.”
Birns closed out Melton’s skin prep with the recently launched CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Gel ($21). That formula “gives the skin just enough of a matte finish without losing the glow and the luster of the skin but also prevents the skin from looking too oily,” says Birns. Side note: We absolutely love how this moisturizing gel preps our skin for makeup. The final step is “a good five-minute lymphatic massage, and viola, you’re done.”
