Whether you're looking for outfit ideas, a new manicure or the perfect backsplash for your guest bathroom, Pinterest has the inspiration you need. And just in time for summer, the platform released its data tracking what are set to be the hottest beauty trends during the sunny months, from cool-toned blushes to western summer nails.
Pinterest's Top Beauty Trend Predictions for Summer 2025
As of late, it seems like we're moving back into a bolder, brighter, more experimental approach to beauty, and Pinterest's trend data proves this movement is only getting stronger. "This summer’s beauty trends are all about blending personal expression and celestial inspiration, as Gen Z searches for astrology makeup are on the rise," the report explains, "Each zodiac sign's unique traits are brought to life through tailored makeup aesthetics—fiery hues for Aries, calming shades for Cancer or the vibrant flair of Leo." On the manicure side of things, Pinterest predicts that "Summer nail art will be inspired by tropical fruits, hibiscus blossoms and the serene vibes of Italian summers, while cool-toned beauty will offer a refreshing palette of blues, reds and cool summer hues."
In terms of data, Pinterest found a more than 1,000 percent increase in searches for zodiac makeup ideas for the summer signs, with "Cancer makeup" up 1,888 percent, "Gemini makeup" up 1,676 percent and "Leo makeup" up 1,633 percent. In the nail world, "summer aura nails," "Italian summer nails" and "summer fruit nails" are leading the charge, up 277 percent, 258 percent and 249 percent in searches, respectively. Pinterest predicts cool-toned makeup will also be a big trend this summer, with search terms like "blue eyeshadow palette" and "baby blue cat-eye nails" both increasing over 900 percent in volume.
