With her 23rd thriller in the Lifetime Wrong film series out this week, The Wrong Cheer Captain, which she both executive produces and stars in, one might think that Vivica A. Fox is having a career renaissance. It might seem that way, but the Kill Bill and Set It Off actress has played the long game to reach this pinnacle of Hollywood success. She also stars on a new hit show Keeping Up with the Joneses, has a string of producing credits (on and off the Lifetime Network) and an aptly named Hustling with Vivica A. Fox podcast—it’s safe to say she’s not having a moment, she is the moment.
Here, she shares the secrets to her success, her favorite beauty treatments and how she stays looking stress-free while making major Hollywood moves.
You just turned 57 and look 20 years younger. Tell us your secrets.
“One thing I love is double cleansing. This is part of my nightly ritual and makes me feel so good.”
What products are you obsessed with?
“I have been loving the K-Beauty philosophies and products and discovered this clean K-Beauty brand founded by four women called Aloisia Beauty. I love their products, including the sheet masks in their 7-Day Skin Care System. I love a good sheet mask.”
Right now, 90s and early 2000s fashion and beauty trends are back in a big way. Which ones should we keep and should stay in the past?
“Baggy Jeans can stay in the past and shoulder pads can make a comeback in a big way. Ripped Jeans are also a staple!”
You recently said you turned one of your bedrooms into a glam room. What is your favorite feature in that room?
“Impressions Vanity outfitted my glam room with the most amazing glam salon furniture. It makes me feel glamorous every single morning while I’m getting ready.”
This seems to be one of the busiest times in your career. How does it feel to have this type of longevity in the industry?
“I’m loving having the resurgence in my career as I have been blessed to move into a new chapter of producing, directing and starring in films. I am a complete triple threat! I also enjoy the podcast, because I am so happy to celebrate others from all walks of lines with their own successes and wins.”
What do you do unwind when you feel like you need to get centered?
“I am a spa junkie—I love massages, facials and my ‘me time’ to recharge. Most importantly I hydrate, hydrate, hydrate especially with LaCroix sparkling water, which I have fallen in love with.”
