Patchy, dry concealer can ruin even the best makeup look. The key to a seamless look is all in the skin prep. To ensure Nicole Kidman’s makeup laid perfectly, celebrity makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher prepped her skin with layers of an under-the-radar skin-care brand. The key product? A powerful tightening gel.
Kelsey began with a thin veil of Seratopical Revolution DNA Complex ($100) around the eyes, then waited a few seconds as the gel tightened the skin and reduced the appearance of fine lines. Then she pressed a bit of Seratopical Revolution Adoring Eye Serum ($40) under the eyes.
“It’s important to properly hydrate the under eye so that the concealer applies smooth and doesn’t smudge or crease. This serum hydrates and protects the skin with hyaluronic acid, coriander seed extract, and jojoba and cranberry seed oils,” says Kelsey.
To finish off the skin prep, ahead of makeup, Kelsey applied Seratopical Freedom Day & Night Moisturizer ($40) to Nicole’s face and décolletage. The formula contributed to her overall glow leaving skin radiant and hydrated.
