Selena Gomez’s Sleek, Glassy Lob Is What Hair Dreams Are Made Of

The lob is pretty much her signature.

If there’s one thing Selena Gomez will do, it’s prove that there’s still so much you can do with your hair when it’s cut into a long bob. After wearing her hair in crimped waves for the impromptu prom that her fiancé Benny Blanco threw for her in late April, the actress and singer stepped out with a completely new style one week later.

Gomez attended the Rare Beauty Mental Health Summit in Los Angeles on May 1. For the event in question, her hair was parted down the center and given a bone-straight, glassy look with her ends slightly flipped under.

The Only Murders in the Building star’s hair was styled by hairstylist Marissa Marino, who’s also worked on Reneé Rapp, Gal Gadot and Olivia Holt, among plenty of others. Marino shared a photo of the look via Instagram on May 2, and while she didn't go into detail about the specific products she used to complete it, we'll take a wild guess and say that she was able to get her hair super straight and sleek using an anti-frizz serum and a really good flat iron.

Gomez has experimented with tons of hairstyles and lengths over the years, but she always seems to come back to the lob, which is essentially just a long bob. The lob is a pretty versatile haircut, since it can be worn in a variety of ways on every hair type and texture, and suits most face shapes. If Gomez's signature style is inspiring you to make a change, check out our guide to the designer bob haircut here.
