My motto is to under-promise and over-deliver. Setting realistic expectations is the key to a good relationship and what distinguishes how providers retain happy patients. My patients come back because they feel they have been properly informed.

WHAT IS YOUR PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY?
There is nothing better than being able to help others make noticeable improvements in their lives. That could mean something as simple as a cream to improve their skin or treating skin cancer. We never think of a problem as insurmountable and every time I look at a patient I want to help them improve their life, whatever their concern.

Instead of focusing on just one specific concern, we tailor everything we do for the patient as a whole. I’ve had many repeat patients over the years because they feel they’ve been properly informed.

WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON QUESTION YOU GET FROM YOUR PATIENTS?
Probably one of the most common questions I get during a consultation is “Will I look normal?” Clearly, this is essential for a good outcome and it ends up coming down to judgment, which is the most important quality of any cosmetic doctor. Often, a positive end result occurs when you employ a more conservative, or careful approach.

HOW DO YOU SHOW YOUR PATIENTS THAT YOU CARE?
The best way to show patients we care is with excellent results and follow-up care. We want to be accessible and available, but if we provide great availability yet mediocre results, then that isn’t all that great! I also take the time to obtain great “before” pictures to compare to the “afters.” If I am not satisfied with a result, I will do anything I can to make it work. Luckily, that doesn’t happen all that often, but it is important to make sure your results match both your goals and mine.
