PHILOSOPHY

A passion for beauty, health and skin care led Dr. Vivian Bucay to establish her boutique-style practice in 1991. “I firmly believe that the skin is an indicator of what’s happening inside the body,” says Dr. Bucay. “You can’t attain beauty without a healthy foundation.”

About Me

Trimmer Tummy

This female patient expressed concerns of excess fat on her abdomen and love handles and turned to Dr. Bucay for help using a noninvasive procedure. Dr. Bucay performed CoolSculpting treatments on the patient’s abdomen and love handles, both in the same day, and the results shown left are two months post-treatment.

Ultimate Ultherapy

Frustrated by her “double chin,” this 47-year-old patient looked to Dr. Bucay for a solution. “Excess skin beneath the chin can add years to the look of your face,” Dr. Bucay says. With Ulthera, a nonsurgical skin-tightening treatment, Dr. Bucay was able to lift and tighten the patient’s sagging skin, resulting in a more defined jawline and younger appearance.

Sculptra Smoother

Wanting to look refreshed and less wrinkled, this 60-year-old patient sought out Dr. Bucay. “She was specifically concerned about the lines around her mouth and on her cheeks,” Dr. Bucay says. Two vials of Sculptra Aesthetic were used to fill in her cheeks, jawline, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and chin. “Now her lines are noticeably diminished,” Dr. Bucay says.

1+1=3

“My goal is to make the most of a person’s natural beauty while striving for balance and harmony between features,” says Dr. Bucay, who particularly enjoys combining treatments in order to enhance outcomes. She relies on Botox® and Dysport® to minimize wrinkles, fillers like Restylane®, Perlane®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra® Aesthetic to replace volume and restore facial contours, and ultrasound treatments like Ulthera to lift and tighten. “When you treat one part of the face, it automatically affects other parts of the face, so a global perspective is very important.” Dr. Bucay also encourages patients to start a skin-care regimen as early on as possible. “Even if the structure of the face hasn’t started to show signs of aging, tired skin or acne can hinder aesthetic appeal. I personally try products before suggesting them so patients can rest assured that my recommendations are based on my own experiences. With the right products, the right doctor and the right combination of treatments, you can be on your way to beautiful skin in no time.”

How can I improve my skin’s tone?

In conjunction with a great skin-care regimen, chemical peels are a great way to improve the feel and appearance of your skin’s surface. There are a number of peels from which to choose, as each targets different conditions. What’s best for you will depend on your skin type—including acneic, dry or combination, to name a few. We offer a variety of skin peels to treat anything from acne to hyperpigmentation.

Ulthera Lift

Seeking a solution to reduce the appearance of puffiness and skin laxity around her eyes, the patient shown here consulted with Dr. Bucay. “We were able to tighten the skin around her brows to reduce the hooding of her upper eyelids and diminish the puffiness below her eyes with Ulthera,” Dr. Bucay says.

Facial Harmony

“My goal is to make the most of a person’s natural beauty while striving for balance and harmony between features,” says Dr. Bucay, who enjoys combining treatments to enhance outcomes. She relies on Botox and Dysport to minimize wrinkles; fillers like Juvéderm Voluma, Belotero, Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse and Sculptra to replace volume and restore contours; and ultrasound treatments like Ultherapy to lift and tighten. “When you treat one part of the face, it affects the other parts of the face, so a global perspective is important. With the right products, the right doctor and the right combination of treatments, you can have beautiful skin in no time.”
