Believe it or not, I wasn’t a “highlighter person”—as in the friend who will apply another coat of luminizing powder to the *high points of their face* whenever they have a spare second—until some time last year. I thought it was a waste of my precious morning time (and that it drew unnecessary attention to my pores) until I learned how to apply it. Now I’m one of them and can’t get enough.

But, like many other makeup products, highlighter prices can get steep. So, when Instagram user @babyaddi6 shared that her favorite luminizers cost only $1, as Allure first reported, I, along with 9,000 other Instagram users, stopped everything to listen.

AOA Wonder Baked Highlighter ($1)
As shown in her Instagram post (be sure to scroll through above!), this option, along with any other dry powder, can be used as-is out of the pan for a more subtle glow, or wet (use a damp brush when applying) for a vibrant finish.
