The Noninvasive Treatment Lo Bosworth Says Is Her Favorite New Beauty Discovery featured image
You may know Lo Bosworth from her reality TV days on Laguna Beach and The Hills, but she’s no longer that teenage girl, lounging by the pool on the cliffs of California. She’s now calls herself a New Yorker, the host of a female empowerment podcast called Lady Lovin’, a chef and healthy foodie, and most recently, the founder of a new beauty company called Love Wellness, which specializes in feminine hygiene products with natural ingredients. Here, we’ve got the scoop from the blond beauty herself on everything she’s been up to lately.

NewBeauty: How did the idea for Love Wellness come to be and what are your new products like?

Lo Bosworth: I had some personal health issues that were resistant to traditional methods of treatment. It was only when I saw specialists who suggested switching to natural products like boric acid for the relief of yeast infections, and a regimen of probiotics and stress-reduction, did I see results. I know that a lot of women struggle in the ways that I did and our products provide solutions to common problems.  The products are made from natural ingredients like turmeric, aloe vera and coconut oil, they’re well-packaged so that they don’t have to be hidden, and they are designed to make women feel comfortable with their bodies.

Ladies – I’m launching @lovewellnessco, my collection of natural products for feminine wellness. The goal? Elevate the experience of caring for the most intimate part of your body! With all-natural ingredients and formulas based on biology, we’re solving the most common issues women face one beautifully packaged cleanser, probiotic, and vitamin at a time. NB: How has your life changed since being on Laguna Beach and The Hills

LB: Like most individuals transitioning from their teens into their 20s and 30s, I’ve experienced impressive amounts of personal change. I attribute some of those changes to the emotional experiences of learning to deal with being a “known” person, but they’re all positive. I’ve lived in NYC since 2012 and have spent that time pursuing my passions: cooking, health and wellness.

NB: You’re clearly a big beauty junkie and cover new products all the time on your blog. What products are your absolute must-haves?

LB: I love anything Christophe Robin, I’m obsessed with the serum from Vintner’s Daughter and I’m a big fan of Glossier’s Boy Brow!

NB: What’s been your favorite beauty discovery of the last year?

LB: Honestly? Botox.

NB: You’re also a trained chef. What healthy eating tips do you follow in your daily life?

LB: I avoid gluten and dairy, but not religiously. Trying to minimize those two categories of food really helps to minimize stress, reduce inflammation, create better sleep, and clear up your skin.

NB: Do you have any advice for women looking to start their own business?

LB: I think my best advice is to keep your current job while you work on creating your own business on the side. It increases the overall amount of work you have to do, but reduces the stress of less income.

NB: What’s the biggest beauty mistake you’ve ever made?

LB: I used to wear a of eye shadow and eyeliner growing up. I’ve developed a much more natural look over the past few years and I think allowing your own features to shine rather than makeup is really the way to go.

NB: Fitness is also important to you. How often do you exercise?

LB: I try to work out at least five days a week. I’ve been doing the BBG program by Kayla Itsines for almost a year now!

NB: Are you still friends with your costars from back in the day?

LB: I’m pals with Lauren [Conrad] and Stephanie [Pratt].

NB: You’re nearing 1 million followers on Instagram. Is there anything your fans don’t know about you that you wish they did?

LB: I think they wish I would share more personal videos that show my personality. To be honest, I’m not great at sharing as much as I should.

NB: What does your podcast Lady Lovin’ focus on? Why should women tune in?

LB: I love doing Lady Lovin’! We’ve been recording the podcast for over a year now and it’s a great show that’s body-positive and sex-positive, and we really try to support the women around us in our community. Listening to our show is like a gab-session with your best friends.
