From hair and nails to makeup and beyond, the unicorn trend has pretty much taken the world by storm. It seems like everywhere you turn there’s a new iteration of the pastel-colored, glitter-laden sparkle movement and there’s no end in sight (not that we’re complaining).

And now the idea of unicorn everything has trickled its way out of the beauty sphere and into the world of food.

Unicorn Toasts

Avocado toast was so last year. Right now it’s all about unicorn toast, which uses plant-based vegan cream cheeses and spreads mixed with algae, spirulina, cholorophyll, beet juice and tumeric for an ombré pastel hue when layered on top of toast. Top with sprinkles (natural, sugar-free ones of course) and gold leaf to really give your toast the unicorn effect.
