Holding a black Louis Vuitton purse she got the same day as her recent album release, Miley Cyrus is a vision of understated glam. Her look perfectly matches the little bag she brought for British Vogue’s Inside My Bag series, and she knows it.

“I think my bag is very glamorous and sophisticated. Feminine but tough, and looks expensive,” Cyrus says, grinning. “It represents me.” Her makeup look for the video is minimalistic, a clean-girl look that compliments the short black dress and loose curls she chose.

“My beauty routine is very fluid—it goes along with my life,” Cyrus says. “On certain days I have more time and capacity to have a more extensive kind of ritual with my beauty. A lot of days I’m moving so fast I just want to get outside and experience my life, so I don’t like to be too fussy.” Ahead, the products the star keeps inside her makeup bag.

Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Concealer ($34)

First in Cyrus’ essentials is the concealer she has a literal lifetime supply of.

“I got this as a gift,” Cyrus says. “Pat’s skin looked so beautiful, and it was glowing, and I asked what she had on. And she told me she had on the Skin Fetish. And so, at the end of the shoot she gave me a lifetime supply.”

This concealer comes in 36 shades and won’t clog your pores even with hours of wear. The formula is lightweight and requires very little product to get the coverage you need. Including hyaluronic acid and ceramides to lock in moisture, this concealer won’t cake and feels breathable all day long.

Gucci Baume Nourrissant Universel, Nourishing Balm ($50)

“You can really put this anywhere,” Cyrus says. “I mean anywhere.”

She isn’t wrong.

This universal balm is meant to be applied basically everywhere except your eyes. The formula is designed to absorb easily into the skin for long-lasting nourishment, and is recommended for the lips, hands, nails, elbows, knees, or anywhere you have dry skin.

Fragrance-free and packed with botanicals, Shea butter, and jojoba and castor oils, this balm soothes and moisturizes dry and sensitive skin.

“It goes all over,” Cyrus says with a smile.

Biba De Sousa Los Angeles The Plant Stem Cell Serum with Peptides ($81)

“This is from my facialist,” Cyrus explains while holding the serum. “She’s been my facialist since I was 20 years old. I showed up to a shoot and had severe breakouts, and this (serum) has been my favorite one for that. As I’ve gotten older and my skin has cleared up, this is something that keeps my looking hydrated and gorge.”

A blend of organic plant peptides, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants, this serum packs in moisture and calms sensitive skin. Non-comedogenic, the formula is excellent for dehydrated and breakout-prone skin.

Dolce Glow D’oro Self-Tanning Lotion ($51)

The secret to Cyrus’ year-round glow thankfully isn’t a result of sun tanning (sun exposure causes 90% of skin cancers). Instead, she turns to the Dolce Glow tanning lotion that slowly builds up a bronzed color over time. Used as a daily moisturizer, this lotion will offer a richer tan with multiple uses.

“We’ve had such crazy weather in LA, I mean we had snow in Malibu. But that doesn’t mean I can’t still be bronzed,” Cyrus says. “It may look like I’m doing nothing. I may just be sleeping on an airplane, it may look like I’m just sleeping on an airplane, but really b*tch, I’m getting tanner.”
