The 33-year-old shared the below photo of herself—complete with high-waisted pants and a figure-forming bodysuit—and asked fans who have undergone the procedure for advice on what to expect.

“My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra. I’m really scared of the lollipop scars tho….any advice?” (Lollipop scarring is the term best used to describe the look of breast-lift and breast-reduction scars. The scar typically wraps around the areola, then down to the breast crease.) “Are there any ladies out there that are much happier even though you have breast reduction scars? And no I don’t have implants so they can’t just cut around the nipples ? tell me about ur experiences.”

As you can expect, fans were happy to help (the post now has almost 9,000 comments), reassuring her to “do it!” and make the choice that would make her happiest. Hundreds of personal sentiments flooded the comment feed including, “I had one, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made,” and, “The scars were a concern for me, too, but you learn to love them…they become part of your story.”

However, many of the comments were not so encouraging, as fans are also begging the model to stray away from the surgery (some suggest weight loss for a “free and natural solution” to her issue), posting comments like, “Big boobs are awesome, never change please. You inspire girls like me!” and, “Keep ’em, Amber. Mine are big too!”

While Rose’s scarring concerns are common, there are many post-surgical options available, ranging from silicone sheets to laser resurfacing, designed to reduce the appearance of scars. In some cases, the vertical incision associated with a breast surgery can be minimized, leaving a scar only around the areola behind. However, this will differ from patient to patient and depends on multiple factors, all of which a board-certified plastic surgeon will brief you on, explaining the best course of action for your particular case.

Will all of this fit into an Instagram comment?
