Model-actress Brooks Nader just successfully merged the Pickleball and CELSIUS (she’s an ambassador) crazes over the weekend, attending the star-studded CELSIUS Pickleball Classic on Friday. While Nader says she’s a newcomer to the sport, she took a break in play to tell us why she fully supports the charge on the charity competition and shared some skin-care favorites along the way.
Why this partnership?
I’m so excited to be participating in CELSIUS’ first ever Pickleball Classic! It’s happening on August 25th and hosted by CELSIUS and David Dobrik. It’s going to be a bracket-style pickleball tournament, with eight teams of two. I’m playing, so you’ll have to wish me luck since I’m a newcomer to the sport. Two Friends is DJ’ing, and there will be a lot of fun people participating. What I love most about the event is that we’re competing for charity, where a $50K donation will be made to the winning team’s charity of choice. All of my favorite CELSIUS flavors including the new Sparkling Cosmic Vibe flavor will be available, and so will CELSIUS’ mocktail recipes, which I can’t wait to try.
I started off as a customer of CELSIUS, buying at the store. I’ve been a fan of CELSIUS since it came out, which is how our partnership started. It’s replaced all my coffee and matcha. I drink at least one-to-two per day. My favorite flavor is the Sparkling Arctic Vibe.
Is Pickleball a part of your fitness routine?
I started playing Pickleball in the last six months so it’s slowly becoming a part of my workout routine. A lot of my friends have started playing and convinced me to try it which has been so fun. Pickleball has obviously been around for a while but there has been a sudden resurgence of interest in the sport; I think people are realizing it’s easy to play, low impact and appeals to a wide range of people.
What are some of your go-to beauty products?
I’m a huge beauty fan! I have so many products. I’ve always stuck to tried and true products. I love Dibs Beauty, especially the Dibs Beauty Desert Island Duo which is the perfect contour blush stick. It’s super easy to use and blend. I also use the Dibs Beauty Status Stick for body glow. It will probably be dripping off my body at the CELSIUS Pickleball Tournament!
When it comes to skin care, my routine is pretty simple. My dermatologist recommends the best products that are gentile for the skin. Since I am in glam a lot of the time for work, it’s nice to use products that aren’t too harsh. I use CeraVe, and Cetaphil, which are great, affordable, drugstore brands. I also use Clarins new Cryo-Flash Mask that is lifesaving when I need to depuff. I love to have margaritas with salt, chips, salsa, so I make sure to have that product nearby at all times. It’s like cryo in a bottle, it’s amazing.
Do you have any treatments that you swear by?
The list is so long! I love a good treatment. My go-to is a lymphatic drainage massage from Renuev Spa before a big shoot or an event.
I have a great dermatologist in NYC, called The Dermatology and Laser Group and I trust whatever he says. He takes a more reasonable approach and always discourages me from trying to many things. If I get really excited about a treatment my friends are doing or something I’ve read about online, I call him to make sure I am not over doing it for my skin. I also love a good Hydrafacial from The Dermatology and Laser Group.
Lastly, boxing has become my go-to workout, on top of weight training and cardio. I work out with Rob Piela, who started Gotham Gym. He is incredible and so is his team.
