Williams, inspired by her roles as athlete and mother, told us she aimed to craft a line for active individuals. At the recent Ulta launch, she shared her insights on WYN Beauty’s creation and the philosophy behind the brand.

“The thing that inspired WYN Beauty was I want to do something in the lines of active makeup,” Williams told NewBeauty. “You can be so beautiful and still be active at the same time. I’m just leaning into my history of being an active tennis player, but now I’m an active mom. I feel like I’m more active now than I was when I was playing tennis.” This emphasis on activity and endurance is evident in the long-lasting formulations.
One of the defining features is its striking chartreuse packaging, a bold choice that reflects Williams’ epic history. When asked about the inspo for the neon green color scheme, Williams quipped, “I would love for you to take a wild guess. Maybe a tennis ball? I just wanted something different and fresh. There are so many amazing beauty products and beauty lines out there and I wanted mine to stick out. It was kind of a perfect fit.”

In addition to its eye-catching packaging, Williams said an important element of the line is a commitment to inclusivity. “Our shade range development actually started from darkness to light,” she explained. “I really believe in having everyone involved. We want everyone to have an opportunity, it doesn’t matter if you’re where you’re from. If you’re from Eastern Europe or Africa where I’ve traveled, you should be able to find the shade for you. That’s kind of the inspiration behind it all.”
