The much-anticipated second season of And Just Like That… on Max is here, and no one is more excited than Sarita Choudhury. While playing the part of Seema may look glamorous, as the 56-year-old beauty told us, she has zero skill when it comes to makeup moves—and she’s perfectly fine with that.

Beauty to me is… whatever catches my eye.

The greatest thing about aging is… I always wanted to be like those older French actresses in their chic trench coats, with their effortless red lipstick and a cigarette hanging out of the side of their mouth. That is, I guess, what aging can be.

I feel most beautiful when… I am laughing or swimming in the warm sea with the sun shining down on the glistening water.

The beauty move I still can’t master is… I can’t master any beauty move! I am OK doing my eyes, but applying foundation and concealer is so hard! It can look good in photos, but in real life, it makes me feel cakey and older.

The beauty treatment I leave to the pros is… foundation!

The beauty treatment I can’t live without is… acupuncture! It heals from within.

The beauty treatment I splurge on is… massages, specifically deep-tissue.

The beauty product I always have with me is… I have fallen in love with Dr. Parikh’s A.P. Chem serum ($125) and cream ($75). It is made from a blend of mushroom extracts and works as a great antioxidant.

I am proudest of… my daughter. And my hair.

The beauty hack I’ve learned while getting ready on set is… I like using hot rollers instead of curling irons. My hair feels more old-fashioned, yet full.

The first big splurge I bought myself when I started booking roles was… an expensive pair of boots. Worth it. They last forever.

The best bathroom run-in I’ve ever had at an awards show was with… the cast of The Crown! All different ages. All British with an irreverent sense of humor.

The one store I shop at the most is… I love going to old-fashioned pharmacies.

My favorite way to unwind is… I like to lie on my yoga roller and breathe out the day.

My biggest beauty inspirations are… Anna Magnani and Monica Vitti. Both are beautiful Italian actresses. Anna was outspoken and fearless; Monica was subtle and intelligent.

My must-pack beauty item when I fly is… Water is all I need when I fly, and a good book, which I never read. Instead, I devour all the movies.
