Lori Leib, makeup artist and creative director for Bodyography, says there’s a new spin on the “dewy” skin trend: “I am loving the look of super hydrated, oil-slicked skin—it is a fresh take on dewy. You can really see if a person takes good care of their skin when it naturally glows, even with foundation on,” she says, adding that a major mistake women make when applying foundation is packing on powder immediately following. “This can look very heavy and caked on. Another mistake is to apply a cream highlighter over powdered foundation, layer creams on creams and powder on powder for the best effect. I think depending on the person, both matte and hydrating foundations can be fabulous, but my preference is hydrated, glossy skin with matte eyes and lips.” Not sure how to get it right?
