Anytime Kim Kardashian steps onto a red carpet, all eyes immediately go to her, and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party was no different. Rocking her signature smokey yet understated glam, the focal point of the look was her striking gown and her artistic hair ‘do.

To create this beautifully in-her-face look, stylist Chris Appleton prepped her hair with Color Wow Style on Steroids ($28) and Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer ($26) before blow drying the product into hair to add volume with the Pearl Pink Shark FlexStyle® ($300) with the concentrator attachment, before taping in the Great Lengths Tape In Extensions in colors 1b and 2. To finish off the look, Appleton curled Kardashian’s hair with the Shark FlexStyle® Auto-Wrap Curler ($30) attachment and pinned to hold before applying hairspray, brushing out curls and applying the Color Wow Extra Mist-ical Shine Spray ($29).

Sabrina Carpenter

From her nightly performances at The Eras Tour to her now public relationship with Saltburn star Barry Keoghan, Sabrina Carpenter is in her element right now, and her bombshell glam for the Vanity Fair after party only emphasized her icon status.

“For tonight’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party, skin prep was key,” says celebrity makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez. Before doing Sabrina Carpenter’s makeup, I used the Medi Lift Essential Mask ($400) , powered by electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), to provide an instant lift and healthy glow.”

For her hair, celebrity stylist Scott King prepped with the Function of Beauty Styling & Heat Protectant Primer ($13) on damp hair before blowing out the hair, setting it in rollers, and spraying it set with the Hold it Together Finishing Hair Spray ($13) all over. “I added anti-frizz, strengthen and volumize hair goal booster shots to the hairspray for added benefits,” he says. “When I took down the hair and brushed it all out, I blasted a bunch of the Detox Everything Dry Shampoo ($13) from roots to end for added volume and texture. Finishing the style off, I did one more round of the Hold It Together Hairspray!”

Olivia Wilde

While Wilde’s sultry side part and exaggerated, winged eye look were surely striking, the star’s glowing skin was not to be remised.

“Olivia’s look tonight was all about warmth and oozing glamour,” said makeup artist Jo Baker, “Skin Beaming and golden and glowing head to toe was critical for this look. Starting with clean skin, I started to give Olivia a little pampering with a gentle lymphatic massage using Element Eight O2 Niacinamide Eight Active Serum ($185—this oxygenated niacinamide laden serum boosts brightness and vitality and appearance of skin tone and texture on contact, giving me that glass like bounce and featherlight hydration that is perfect for underneath makeup.”

“I fell in love immediately with this next product,” Baker says, “When you blend Oxygen and caffeine together you have my heart! This is an eye cream that covers all bases: Element Eight O2 Caffeine Eight Active Eye Cream ($175) delivers a healthy dose of caffeine and oxygen  to the eye area which stimulates blood flow and improves orbital drainag, reducing puffiness and dark circles leaving eyes feeling refreshed and bright within minutes!” – Jo Baker

Barry Keoghan

Barry Keoghan’s glowing skin at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party was all thanks to tried-and-true skin prep.

“Solid skincare is a critical part of prepping my clients for a red carpet, which is why I was excited to partner with Cetaphil on Barry’s look this evening for the Vanity Fair Party,” said celebrity groomer Christine Nelli, “I started by washing the face with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser ($13). I love this cleanser because it’s non-stripping and will provide a clean slate. Next, I applied the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Face Serum ($23) with my fingertips to rejuvenate the skin. This serum works wonders in moisturizing the skin for 24 hours while improving the skin’s firmness, texture, and tone.”

“Then, I dabbed a little of the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Eye Gel Serum ($23) to help rejuvenate the under eyes as an alternative to retinol,” says Nelli, “this eye gel serum provides a youthful glow. Lastly, I used the Cetaphil Deep Hydration Skin Restoring Water Gel ($19) to lock in the hydration. Due to the weightless and oil-free formula, this gel instantly boosts the skin’s hydration for 72 hours, leaving the skin moisturized and soothed.”

Chrissy Teigen

Another star taking part in the silver-look trend, Teigen showed up in an architectural silver dress, a slicked-back half up half down hairdo and a nude glam look that made the dress and neckline the star of the look.

To prep Teigen’s skin for the night of fun, celebrity makeup artist Kristine Studden began by using the Curél Japanese Skincare Makeup Cleansing Oil ($15) to “instantly lift off any makeup and mascara, while leaving a soft dewy finish to the skin,” before double cleansing her skin with the Curél Japanese Skincare Foaming Facial Wash ($15) and applying the Curél Japanese Skincare Hydrating Water Essence ($22.50).

Next, Studden applied the Curél Japanese Skincare Intensive Moisture Facial Cream ($22.50) for deep nourishment before finishing off with the Curél Japanese Skincare Deep Moisture Spray ($15), to leave the skin moisturized and soft, and ready for makeup.

Elizabeth Banks

Complimenting her black wrap gown, Banks’ blonde bob was styled in laid-back curls and her makeup look showcased her amazing skin—the focal point being her brown and black smokey eye.

“For Banks’ Oscars day hairstyle, we wanted to create an edgy but light look that wouldn’t compete with the drama of her Balenciaga gown,” said stylist Clayton Hawkins, “We decided to go with a textured and tousled faux bob. I started by applying Sexy Hair Root Pump Plus ($22) to her damp roots and then blow drying her thick shoulder length hair with my Dyson Blowdryer ($500).

“Once she was fully dry, I sectioned away her hair from eye level and up and clipped it away,” Hawkins explained, “I then proceeded to braid and pin up the rest of her shoulder length hair, essentially tucking it away. Then, to get our faux bob look, I clipped in 18” BELLAMI Silk Seam Extensions ($210) over the braids and bluntly cut them into a chin grazing bob. I’m obsessed with BELLAMI extensions because their colors are so rich and multidimensional. For Elizabeth I blended the colors Bronzed Caramel Marble Blend and Vanilla Latte Highlight.”
