Tropicana just announced they have developed the latest innovation that could save your morning—toothpaste that’s compatible with orange juice. If you love a glass of fresh OJ in the morning, this toothpaste is tailor-made for you so that brushing your teeth won’t get in the way of enjoying your citrusy beverage.
“Toothpaste ruins OJ. So we made a limited-edition Tropicana Toothpaste, dropping Nov 1,” wrote the brand on Instagram. Per Food Network the product won’t be immediately available on that launch date, but you can comment to win the product on the company’s Instagram. The innovative toothpaste was created in partnership with experts at Dynamic Blending Specialists to get the formula just right.
Los Altos, CA cosmetic dentist Joseph Field, DDS said his initial thought after hearing about the product was, “I am so glad people in the dental industry are paying attention to the flavors.” He added that he often jokes with his patients that the chemists that design these materials don’t realize that people have taste buds.” With this new toothpaste, it sounds like Tropicana has put your taste buds first.
However, Dr. Field noted that these kinds of innovations in taste can be hit or miss. He’s interested to learn more about the ingredients and how they interact with both oral and systemic health before recommending it to any of his patients.
