“I believe it’s important to always stand strong and feel like your best most confident self,” penned Real Housewife of New Jersey Teresa Giudice in a lengthy Instagram post shared recently. In the photo, the 47-year-old mother is in a clinical robe and posing with New York plastic surgeon B. Aviva Preminger, MD. “10 years after my first breast augmentation, I decided to have my breasts re-done,” she continued.
Housewives fan may remember Giudice’s previous breast augmentation; it was documented while filming the first season of Real Housewives of New Jersey, which premiered in May 2009. Then, in November of 2018, she revealed that she had swapped out her breast implants. “I changed out my implants,” she said on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, explaining that “they look fuller” even though they were the same size as her originals.

Cut to more than 10 years later, Giudice decided it was time to go back under the knife. “I was very nervous to re-do my breasts, but I felt it was necessary for me to feel like my best self,” she shared on Instagram. “I encourage anyone who doesn’t feel their best self to work on feeling better. Even if it is the smallest thing every day. If it is something that requires cosmetic surgery to feel better, I highly recommend Dr. Preminger @premingermd and couldn’t not be happier with the results.”
Dr. Preminger tells NewBeauty that having a second or revision breast augmentation is very common. “Breast implants are man made devices and do not last a lifetime. Furthermore, women’s bodies change as we age due to fluctuations in weight, hormonal changes, pregnancy and breastfeeding as well as menopause. I actually tell my breast augmentation patients to expect that their implants will eventually require some maintenance!”
