If you’ve ever wondered what goes on in a makeup trailer on a TV show set, you’re in luck because Sophia Bush gave us a behind-the-scenes sneak peek. Bush recently shared a time-lapse video of her morning routine in her makeup trailer getting ready to shoot Good Sam. She revealed that after posting a quick Instagram story in the trailer the other day, her followers had a lot of questions, which led to her sharing a more detailed video.

Bush’s first step is to prep her skin with her micro-infuser. “Droplette science is the future”, Bush says of the high-tech product that infuses rapidly moving droplets into the skin via a fine mist. In the video, Bush is switching off between sipping bone broth and coffee while doing scene study and prepping for her podcast. Meanwhile, her makeup artist, Craig-Ryan French, and her hairstylist, Etheline Joseph, get to work on making her look like her character Sam.

Joseph uses the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer ($430) and the Dyson Airwrap Styler ($550). Bush says Joseph also uses “an army of heat protectors, so all of this daily styling doesn’t send me home with my hair looking like hay after six months.” We spotted Kérastase Chronologiste Heat Protecting Leave-In Treatment for Dull & Brittle Hair ($52).

Bush describes the morning routine fondly. “It’s kind of like a big family dinner, but instead of ending the day breaking bread around the table, we begin sharing coffee in the trailer,” says Bush. “This is part of the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes shows so special.”
