You know when you feel like you’re best friends with someone you’ve never met? That’s how we feel about Martha Stewart. Not only have we eaten dinner with her—aka we’ve sat at our TV screens pretending we’re in her kitchen—recreated all of her iconic fashion and beauty looks, and purchased all of her cookbooks, but we’re now about to buy everything that she stocks in her bathroom, too.
In a recent article for Allure, the entrepreneur and best-selling author talks through all of her current vanity staples, with extra emphasis on the CBD-infused products from her upcoming skin-care line, 86 Elm. While Stewart couldn’t reveal much about the upcoming launch (she does reveal 86 Elm is hitting shelves this summer), she explains that the luxury line will be widely affordable and will include four hero products: Revival Serum, Restorative Night Cream, Rehydrating Mist, and a Replenishing Sheet Mask—all of which she’s been using on the daily.
As to be expected, lifestyle mogul’s morning routine is nothing short of extravagant. “First, after I take my shower, I spray myself completely with CBD tonic—head to toe, the whole thing,” she tells Allure. “And my back, because you can’t reach your back with cream, so I spray my whole back with all that beautiful tonic. I love tonic because it’s astringent, cleansing, as well as tightening.” Stewart then applies a vitamin C serum before finishing off her routine with Clé de Peau Beauté Protective Fortifying Cream SPF 22 ($166) and the Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Fluid Matte Foundation SPF 20 ($130), her “foundation of the day.” She also adds that she likes to use face products as full-body treatments, pinning Tatcha The Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powder ($65) and thick creams from Sulwhasoo as her favorites.
When it comes to skin care, Stewart says she’s a “big experimenter,” but she keeps the products that really work displayed on her bathroom shelves, which she calls “an edited apothecary for beauty,” instead of tucked away in her drawers. Currently on display: all-things Skinceuticals and Sulwhasoo, plus the gentle Susan Ciminelli Algae Deep Cleanse ($65) and a curated lineup from Caudalie.
Nestled next to Stewart’s high-end formulas are also rows of affordable Mario Badescu products. “I don’t let anybody else clean my face or give me a facial [other] than the Romanian ladies at Mario Badescu,” she says. Based on her “edited apothecary,” the Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask ($18) is a favorite, along with the brand’s Vitamin C Serum ($45) and Hyaluronic Dew Drops ($30).
