Jonathan Van Ness’s next-level stardom was brought to the forefront by Netflix series Queer Eye. On the show, five lifestyle connoisseurs help those in need of a major life change re-organize their lives (we’re talking closet revamps, cooking classes, fashion advice, etc). Van Ness’s role on the show, which is obviously our favorite, is to give professional grooming advice, but the groomer-turned-Instagram mogul never had his own line to show off on-screen, until now.
On Instagram Tuesday, the 33-year-old announced that he is launching his own hair-care brand with Amyris, the parent company of popular skin-care brand Biossance. In his post, he writes, “@biossance has earned my trust in skin care over the years and we’re ready to take our relationship to a whole new level. GAME CHANGER ALERT. I’m teaming up with their parent company Amyris to develop their, and my, first ever haircare line! This haircare line is my new baby and this team is the only one I trust to develop a line of products that carries my name and ethos.”
We don’t know much more about the launch just yet, but what we do know according to Van Ness’s post is that the line will be “inclusive for all people, effective for all hair types, and sustainable to our gorgeous earth. We’re ready to revolutionize the haircare industry and can’t wait to share it with you later this year.”
