Brooke Shields is one of the many iconic celebrities who have modeled for Kim Kardashian’s shapewear and clothing brand, Skims, and from what it sounds like, the experience was just as special as the final images.

On Tuesday, April 2, the 58-year-old actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen alongside Elizabeth Hurley. During the segment, Shields answered questions from fans, including one about her 2022 Skims campaign.

Two fans called in via video chat to ask: “After your iconic Calvin Klein campaign, what made you say yes to Kim Kardashian’s invite to model Skims, and did you get to keep what you wore?”

‘Well there was very little,” Shields replied with a laugh, implying she wore minimal clothing for the photoshoot. “I was so happy that at this age that anybody wanted to see me in anything that looked like underwear.”

“I was very proud that she wanted to represent women my age in lingerie and I knew they were going to treat me well and take care of me,” she continued. “It was a great experience and I felt sexy.” In response, she was met with applause from the audience.

The mom of two starred in the brand’s 2022 campaign, marking the launch of the brand’s much-anticipated bra collection. She modeled a range of neutral-toned undergarments, sporting voluminous waves and natural glam.

In the campaign, she modeled the No Show Unlined Balconette Bra and matching underwear.

Skims

Shields unveiled the campaign images to her followers via Instagram when the collection debuted in September 2022, accompanied by a heartfelt caption. “I’m so honored and excited to be in @SKIMS first ever bra campaign,” she wrote. “I can honestly say that these bras are something we can all feel confident and comfortable in.”

In a second post—a video clip—she wore the Weightless Scoop Bra, and shared her favorite features with viewers. “It’s really sort of smooth, but also it kind of pushes the girls up and in a little bit, which I like,” she said. “It doesn’t dig in anywhere and the straps lay so flat.”

Skims

Shields also sat down with NewBeauty as our Winter cover star just weeks after her Skims campaign debuted, teasing her upcoming brand, Beginning Is Now. (It’s still in development but appears to be on the horizon.)

“The brand is for women over 40 and it is a well-being and wellness platform,” Shields explained. “It’s meant to encourage and inspire women to begin new chapters in their lives and look forward—rather than feel like their life is over because they have hit a ‘certain age.’

The greatest thing is that we’re having conversations about ‘the things,’ the taboo subjects, the stuff we’ve always been afraid to talk about. Things like postpartum depression and mental health still have a strong stigma, which is terrible. That’s the most positive thing about this brand—we’re talking about things and changing the conversation around what age looks like. Instead of ‘being over 40’ as having the image of old and dried up, I believe it’s a new prime.”
