56-year-old Brooke Shields took to Instagram to share a bikini photo alongside daughters Grier and Rowan. While she and her family definitely showed off their beautiful bodies, they also debuted three black and white swimsuits from American Eagle’s lifestyle brand Aerie, which caused the company’s shares to shoot up by more than six percent in 24 hours.
According to a recent article from Daily Mail, pre-market trading figures from yesterday showed a 3-percent rise in American Eagle stock after Shields posted the photo. By lunchtime on the same day, the brand had added a solid $485 million to its market value.
Captioning the post “Soaking it all in,” Shields tagged Aerie in the photo, which was a major contribution to the rise in stock. In the comments section of her post, Shields not only got a lot of fan comments, but celebrities like Lisa Rinna shared a string of hearts and Laura Brown wrote, “Hey now!” The Endless Love star also racked up a solid 100,000-plus likes.
