Let’s Just Get to the Point:
Elevare’s devices—specifically the Ivory and Plus+ versions—use LED light therapy to firm saggy skin and improve the complexion’s overall appearance.

If You Want to Know More:
When it comes to anti-aging, the most effective treatments almost always happen at the dermatologist’s office. From microneedling to lasers, there’s no shortage of procedures available that minimize the appearance of an aging complexion. And while we certainly don’t mind heading into the derm’s office for a treatment every so often, we can’t help but wish we could bring those same procedures home with us to get a similar, youth-boosting result all on our own. Thankfully, this is finally a reality.

Elevare Skin is an FDA-cleared medical device that uses LED light therapy (which is commonly found in many dermatologist’s treatments), to rejuvenate the skin—all in the comfort of your own home. Supported by clinical studies and research originally conducted by NASA, Elevare’s light deeply penetrates the skin to improve the overall appearance over time.

With two main versions, Elevare meets the needs of a large variety of skin care concerns. The Elevare Plus+ is the brand’s most powerful anti-aging medical device that uses a combination of red light and infrared light therapy to mend skin damage from the sun, naturally fill fine lines and increase the production of collagen fibers and elastin. Additionally, the thermal activity generated by the device improves blood circulation to help deliver nutrients to the skin for the ultimate glow.

This product is so powerful, in fact, that a two-month clinical trial by the Princeton Research Division found that 100 percent of users felt that their skin looked younger after using the device, and 98 percent felt their skin looked significantly firmer. Talk about some impressive stats.

The other device—which I tested out myself—is called Elevare Ivory and focuses less on anti-aging and more so on bringing the skin back to its clearest, healthiest form. Using blue light phototherapy and topical heat, the device disinfects and detoxifies the skin to eliminate bacteria trapped under the skin’s surface while also reducing redness, inflammation, pigmentation and pore size.

To use, I first began with a completely clean face (no lotions or makeup!) and then ran the device along my face in small circular motions using light pressure. I did this for about three minutes on each area of the face (below the eyes, forehead, cheeks and chin) and then followed up the treatment with a bit of moisturizer. There was no pain and the whole process took only about 15 minutes, which made it the perfect activity to do while watching television after a long day at work.

With such amazing results, this device is clearly a good investment for those who are serious about their skin care routine (after all, it’s a professional treatment to use at home!). However, with the Ivory costing $4,500 and the Plus+ costing $4,700, it’s a pretty hefty commitment, so be sure you know your exact skin care needs before purchasing.
