Blake Lively has always had quite the fit physique, but after giving birth to her second child, bouncing back to her slender figure wasn’t easy. Being fully transparent, the actress got refreshingly honest about her post-baby weight loss on a photo she posted to Instagram.

“Turns out you can’t lose the 61 lbs you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through instagram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models,” she captioned the post. “Thanks @donsaladino for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud.”
Don Saladino, Lively’s go-to trainer, also shared a picture of the 30-year-old actress, praising her for her hard work with the caption: “Couldn’t be more proud @blakelively! 61 pounds in 14 months after baby number 2! Doesn’t she look awesome?”
Considering how celebrities typically share unrealistic and untrue stories about “bouncing back” to their pre-baby bodies within a few short months after giving birth, Lively’s honest post is a great example for new moms who may feel disheartened by their slower weight-loss journeys.
We’ve reached out to Saladino for the workout moves that got Lively into such great shape, and will update once we hear back.
