behind Ren Active:
“A lot of people were expecting me to create a swim line, but I wanted to do something that could transition into street wear as well. I stay in my workout clothes all day, but I like to feel put together even though I’m in exercise clothing and I hadn't found something like that for me. I wanted to create something for myself that other people can experience too.”
stays fit while traveling:
“I have a rule, I take the stairs everywhere; I’ll even skip the escalators in airports. I try to do things where I’m staying active all the time. I also like to travel with my TRX and do these really intense ab exercises with it. When I’m in the tropics, I use the beach as my gym. So, morning swims or running on the beach are my favorite.”
“I love smoothie bowls. I throw almond milk, the kind of fruit I want, ice, and protein powder into a blender, mix it up, and then add some gluten-free granola. I also make this pancake using oatmeal and egg whites. I first make the oatmeal, then add egg whites, protein powder, some stevia, and cinnamon, and mix it all up into a batter. Then I put it on the pan and it turns into a 200 to 300 calorie pancake that I add berries and agave to.”

in-office treatment she uses to clear out her pores:
“There’s this machine called the HydraFacial that I’ve been doing a lot lately; it cleans out everything from my skin and from my pores. Usually that’s hard to do without extractions, which I hate, but the HydraFacial just uses water. I’m obsessed with it so I do it once a month.”
product that always keeps her photo-ready:
“The Benefit Cosmetics Benetint ($30) is my life! It goes with me everywhere and I put it on my lips, my cheeks and it always stays on—even at the beach.”
“I take collagen and biotin for my hair. I also take a probiotic every morning and sometimes when I travel, my stomach doesn’t work well with the plane and the foods that are there, so I take a daily digestive enzyme with every meal to make sure I’m feeling good.”
advice she’s learned from makeup artists:
“Do not curl your eyelashes when you already have mascara on! It’ll pull out the lashes."
