Blake Lively Does These 3 Workout Moves on Repeat—and They'll Get You Toned Fast
Other than her stellar career and famous head of hair, Blake Lively is known for her always toned physique. Even after having two kids, the actress appears to be as fit as ever, but her slender figure isn't just due to good genes. It turns out, Lively seeks out help from celebrity trainer and Garden of Life brand advocate, Don Saladino, to keep her body in top shape.
So, what's her drills like during their training sessions? Well, according to Saladino, there are three exercises that he gives Lively on repeat every time they meet: “Blake right now is doing a lot of the carries. She’s doing a lot of sled work and we have her jumping rope.”
If you’re unfamiliar with these kind of moves, here’s a breakdown: A loaded carry is when you hold a kettlebell in one hand and simply walk for a distance or a time to improve core strength and overall stability. To tone all of the major muscle groups (especially the legs), Saladino sets Lively up to do sled work in which she pushes or pulls a “sled” of weights over a particular distance. Finally, Saladino makes Lively jump rope, which is an awesome way to burn calories and build muscle.
While this workout is sure to get you toned up quickly, Saladino says that it’s important to remember that the most vital aspect of changing your body is to start with a good foundation. “All of this gets thrown out unless [Blake’s] foundation is strong,” he explains. So, in order to see the best results, Saladino recommends starting with lifestyle changes like clocking in 90 minutes of extra sleep per night, cutting down on wheat and sugar, and managing stress levels. Once your foundation is strong, results will surely follow.
