When Schick Intuition was looking for a celeb to share the message on their new Bamboo line—an easy, smart and sustainable swap for disposable razors—they looked no further than 2 Broke Girls and The Neighborhood star, Beth Behrs, to deliver the non-preachy message. In true Behrs’ fashion, the campaign is hilarious (think laugh-out-loud SNL skit style) and the message is simple: Shake the “green guilt” and take the step, no matter how small it might be, to incorporate eco-friendly edits into your self-care and wellness routine.

Why this partnership?

“If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’m obsessed with nature and taking care of Mother Earth. But, it feels like, in today’s world, it’s all just so overwhelming…and sometimes, the overwhelmingness we all feel about wanting to do our part almost makes us not do our part, because we don’t know where to start. That’s why I love the idea with this razor. It’s recyclable and certified sustainably sourced paperboard packaging and then it has the renewable bamboo handle, so it’s helping our landfills not fill up with as much plastic.”

The “green guilt” is real.

“Yes! It feels like a lot of us have it…like we’re not doing enough, and this is something we can do that’s part of our routine, something that’s easy-breezy. We also have a fun, comedic take on ‘green guilt’ with the spot and some of these famous, rich celebrities that do all these incredible things to help the environment. It was fun to take a spin, comedically, with that, and have fun with telling people a way they can help the earth.”

Is there anything else you’ve made a sustainable swap for recently?

“Well, I’ve obviously started doing this with the razors, which has been huge for me because that was one of the places I hadn’t made a swap. I’m also into the reusable sandwich bags because I pack my lunch like a little kid to go to work just about every day [laughs]; I’m a really picky eater. Other than that, my husband and I have been trying for years to be as plastic-free as possible in the house. Obviously, farmer’s market bags and grocery bags and stuff like that is an easy swap. Then the dental floss, I just did that one, too. There’s a brand called Boka that has a charcoal dental floss that I love. Then there are bamboo scrubbers the make for washing dishes as well, and I used those instead of sponges. It’s a lot of small things. And compositing! I’ve been doing that for a long time. I just keep a bin on my counter.”

You’re so good. I know we’ve talked before about stress and self-care, and your schedule isn’t slowing down. Is there anything you’re doing differently that’s working for you right now?

“Oh, yes. It all depends on the day, but the thing that stays consistent for me—besides time with my horses and being outdoors and spending time gardening now that spring is here—is my Yoga Nidra; I’m doing those guided meditations pretty much every day. I crave it now—and, if I don’t do it, I see a difference. I also don’t beat myself up if I don’t get to it. I just started teaching Yoga Nidra as well and I love being able to share it, and, creatively, it is a really good outlet for me. It’s been fun to be able to share what has helped me so much.”

You’re also so into beauty. Is there anything new you’ve been liking?

“Honestly, the masks have really taken a toll on my skin! I’m sure that’s the case for a lot of people, but I was getting this really bad allergic reaction after wearing them, so I’ve gone super super gentle and I’m sticking to Cetaphil and CeraVe at the moment. I usually like to use all-natural skin products, but, and I don’t know why, I couldn’t use them with the masks. But, usually, I’m a KORA Organics girl. I love Miranda Kerr’s line.”

What are you looking forward to this summer?

“Oh my goodness, so much. I’m really excited for my vegetable garden take-two. Last year, I had some great success and some terrible non-success. No success with squashes, but I have cucumbers, so I’m ready for round two! I’m really looking forward to being outside and at the beach. I always like to do anything that gives back to nature and I always like spending as much time outside as possible when I have off from work.”
