Benefit Issues a Recall on Its Cult-Classic Brow Gel

By ·

Gimme Brow, Benefit Cosmetic’s insanely popular brow product that beefs up your brows in an instant, is being voluntary recalled by the brand. The volumizing eyebrow gel uses little microfibers that attach to your eyebrow hair to plump up your brows. The company says the recall is mostly for precautionary measures.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we are initiating a voluntary recall of our Gimme Brow product after discovering that recent batches of the product did not meet our stringent quality standards,” said the brand in a statement on their site. They are asking consumers to stop using the product right away and take it back to their place of purchase for a full refund.

Although there have not been any reports of adverse reactions, the brand issued a warning about using the product on any place but the brows: “If applied in its normal usage on the brows, the Gimme Brow product doesn’t involve any risk. However, if it comes into contact with the eyes, it could lead to eye irritation.”
