Thayers just rounded up a bunch of skin-care stats, and there are some troubling beauty sins and bad habits in the mix.

According to the online survey, Thayers 2023 Skincare Wrapped, which polled 1,001 Americans over the age of 16, 55 percent of respondents confess that they “rub their hands on their face.”

Some more unsettling snafus: 54 percent admit to not getting enough sleep, and 48 percent saying they do not drink enough water.

Also surprising, according to Thayers, which conducted the survey in conjunction with the launch of the brand’s new moisturizer line: Many people are not necessarily consistent with their routines. The survey showed that 61 percent of Americans settle for just “OK” skin-care routines, with a Netflix binge often taking precedence over healthy skin.

Another interesting number: “Aging” showed up as the number-one “skin concern” for one-third of respondents.
