Rose water is an age-old beauty secret that’s having a major trendy moment. Roses are particularly well known for their hydrating and soothing properties, which is why you’ll find them in all forms of skin care from moisturizer and toner to simply, pure rosewater spray.
But drinking rosewater isn’t a common beauty practice—yet, anyway! Juice Served Here out in LA, however, is out to change that. The juice shop has collaborated with Soma, a company that makes an at-home water-purification system, to release a limited-edition Rose Water, which infuses Soma-filtered water with extracts of rose and aloe. The resulting beverage tastes fresh, floral and delicious but also contains a host of beauty benefits, ranging from hydrating skin to reducing anxiety and soothing your digestive system.

But Rose Water wasn’t just created to be another fancy water. It’s on a mission to address the global need for access to clean water, starting pretty close to home in the US. One dollar of all sales of Rose Water (each 32oz bottle retails for $5) will be donated to relief efforts in Flint, MI, where, more than 10,000 children have been exposed to drinking water contaminated with high levels of lead and many more residents still struggle to get access to clean water.
Dana Trans, senior manager of special projects at Soma says, “With the Flint crisis, it is clear that clean drinking water is no longer just an international crisis, but can pose concern right here on our land. Donations will go toward the long-term childen’s health initiatives in the Flint area. Flint needs our help. Not just immediate response, but long-term community support. The Flint crisis will continue to affect children poisoned by lead–not just now, but all throughout their development. So we thought this would be the perfect way for us to give back.”
