Summer is not exactly the time where we’re just dying to pound the pavement for a few miles or spin until our legs almost fall off. Yes, it is the season of bare limbs and skimpy swimsuits—but lets be honest here—rosé at the pool awaits and working out is not exactly top of mind.

But, since you are already at the pool, there is one thing you could be doing that will get you super fit, fast. According to Well+Good, the hottest new workout accessory is the mermaid tail, and putting one on while you do a few laps will get your body buff in no time (not to mention, how fun?!?).

San Diego’s Hotel del Coronado is one place that now offers a mermaid-themed group class. The instructor who developed the workout, Veronia Rohan, tells Well+Good that the circuit-training style workout includes swimming laps, doing ab work on the side of the pool, squats, and exercises with a beach ball.

Hotel del Coronado is not the only place you can get your mermaid flipper on. Although still pretty under the radar, mermaid fitness–style classes have been around for a little while. The trend first seems to have started in the Philippines, which has a full on “Mermaid Swimming Academy.” In the U.S., Mermaid Fitness is an up-and-coming company that offers its own version of “The Mermaid Workout,” although that seems to be limited to Michigan at this time. While you’re waiting for this workout to come to your area, check out this video for a fascinating look at how it works.
