When it comes to finding the newest up-and-coming brands, there’s no place like Cosmoprof North America. The show’s roots trace back to Bologna, Italy, in 1967. Originally established as a platform for beauty professionals, it brings together manufacturers, distributors and industry experts in the cosmetics and beauty sector.

The annual Las Vegas show here in the States, which has been steadily growing since 2002, has recently expanded to Miami. The inaugural Miami event showcased over 700 exhibiting beauty brands across skin and hair care, makeup, fragrance and nails. We were there to experience it all, and here’s a glimpse into our favorite discoveries from the three-day beauty-filled event.

Skincare Junkie

Board certified dermatologist Dr. Blair Rose started Skincare Junkie to help her patients simplify their skin-care routines using the best possible ingredients. The whole line is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, vegan and pregnancy safe. The Megadose Super Antioxidant Face Moisturizer ($68) is soothing, hydrating and eczema safe.

Olivia Umma

A glass skin solution that gives Lana Del Rey retro vibes on the vanity, Olivia Umma pairs Korean formulations with bright, vibrant ingredients like in the Glass Skin Tanghulu Blueberry serum ($45) and Glass Skin Strawberry and Tangerine serum ($48). Inspired by tanghulu, a colorful hard candy fruit snack, the goal is glossy, healthy-looking skin.

Spilanthox Therapy

German brand Spilanthox Therapy contains spilanthol, a natural active or “organic Botox” derived from paracress, also known as the toothache plant. It is known for its anti-aging and wrinkle-reducing properties. All of the products, like the Mega Glow Cream, are formulated with natural ingredients.

Geske

Bringing the best in German technology at an affordable price, Geske is set to democratize devices the same way The Ordinary did for skin care. With a device to meet every microcurrent, LED, sonic massage, and hot and cold therapy skin and body need, like the Sonic Facial Roller ($40), we expect to see their devices everywhere soon.

5 / 9

TruffLuv

Using the key ingredient of black truffle, TruffLuv’s collections combine black truffles with various ingredients, like argan oil to revitalize and moisturize hair. The brand has options for all hair types, including a Curly Bliss collection ($64).

Natural Outcome Teen Skin

With the tween takeover of Sephora it’s more important than ever to put the right products in teenage hands. Natural Outcome Teen Skin is specifically formulated for this age group and offers a range of clean products tailored to the particular needs of teenage skin using natural ingredients. The Everyday Face Kit ($40) makes it simple to introduce healthy habits for younger users.

Nicky Clarke

U.K. celebrity hairstylist Nicky Clarke brings his hair tools stateside and the Airstyle PRO Hair Dryer ($399) and styler made us put away our other hair tools with an infrared technology to decrease drying time and barrel attachments for fast curls and waves.

ECRU New York

Hair care brand ECRU New York brought their new Luxe Gloss ($36) to the showroom floor. Featuring the brand’s Chromazone ingredient, it gives hair a tinted protective glaze that helps revive and extend color in under 20 minutes.

Pureance

Made from natural botanicals, Pureance is paraben-free, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, fragrance-free and silicone-free. The brand’s line is tailored for menopausal women with products formulated to stimulate cell growth. The Cellular Hydration Serum ($69) gives intense overnight hydration when you need it most.

10 / 10

Shielded Beauty

Protecting skin from free radicals, pollution, blue light and outside elements that can wreak havoc on your skin barrier, Shielded is all about safeguarding skin with nutrients and antioxidants your skin needs. The Triple Threat Treatment ($48) serves as a mask, hydrator and face primer, and we love a good multitasker.

11 / 11

Cataño Beauty

Miami-based Adriana Cataño is a familiar face in Latino households as she’s been on television screens for decades. The TV host is also owner and founder of vegan skin-care brand Cataño Beauty known for its natural and cruelty-free products. We love the Soothing & Hydrating Mist ($40) for it’s on the go refreshment with rose water and saffron, which helps cool and calm skin without harsh ingredients like alcohol.
