Nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series, all eyes were on Aidy Bryant at tonight’s Emmy Awards—and her glam team did not disappoint.
Celebrity makeup artist and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics national makeup artist Cassandra Garcia says Bryant’s glam was inspired by her custom Simone Rocha dress. “The accessories are a bright red so we decided to go for it and go with a perfectly matching red lip, glowing skin, softly defined eyes and strong brows to balance the look,” Garcia tells NewBeauty.
To prep the skin before makeup, Garcia says she keep it simple, prepping with her favorite Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Eye Base. “I love this primer because it helps the makeup last all day,” she says. “In addition the smell is amazing and really gives an uplifting feeling.”
When it came to red-carpet ready makeup, the lineup was top-notch. For base: Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Skin Long Wear Weightless Foundation mixed with Illuminated Face Balm and topped with Sheer Finished Pressed Powder. On the cheeks, it was a blend of the brand’s Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow and Pot Rouge in Pale Pink.
To accentuate Bryant’s striking eyes, Garcia used a number of Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks for a stunning, stay-put look: “Cashew as a base, Taupe in the crease, Cinnamon around the eye as a soft liner and Golden Bronze in the center of the eye,” she explains. Garcia used the brand’s Long Wear Gel Eye Liner in black to tight-line the eye, and to finish off the look, she used Moonstone Luxe Eye Shadow in the inner corner and applied a layer of Smokey Eye Mascara.
For her berry-red lip, Bryant rocked Bobbi Brown Red Lip Pencil and Luxe Matte Lip Color in none other than Red Carpet.
