Aside from our mutual love for Taylor Swift, I didn’t think myself and pro-footballer Travis Kelce had much in common. That was, however, until I discovered that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end uses box dye to keep his hair color fresh. While I’ve long felt ashamed for using box dye instead of heading to the salon, Kelce’s new partnership with this celeb-founded box-dye brand has helped me embrace my box dye habits—if it’s good for Taylor’s beau, it’s good for me!
The Box Dye Kelce Uses to Stay Fresh on and Off the Field
If you haven’t hear yet, iconic rapper Fat Joe has joined the ranks of countless other celebrities who are taking a stab at creating beauty brands. Adding “cofounder” to his resume, Fat Joe recently announced the launch of his brand Rewind It 10—a box dye brand targeted towards men. The boxes have since featured famous men like supermodel Tyson Beckford, but in aims to help the brand achieve a more rugged person, Travis Kelce is now featured on the Rewind It 10 box for the shade Light Brown.
Seeing Kelce’s face on the front of the box got fans thinking—does Travis really dye his hair (and with box dye, no less)? And while Kelce himself hasn’t commented, Rewind It 10 co-founder Carolyn Aronson said, “Of course he does. He wouldn’t be on the box if he didn’t.” Now, if there are any men in your life who are hesitant to touch up their grays, give them the gift of Kelce-approved hair dye and they’re sure to bite.
