She may have had a tumultuous year with love, but in the looks department, Amber Heard seems to have nothing to worry about.

According to scientific facial mapping software that’s based on the “golden ratio” of Phi (long thought to be the secret to beauty when it comes to facial proportions), Amber is almost perfect. The ratio is basically a mathematical formula that uses several different markers of measurement on different areas of the face

For example, the base of the nose, multiplied by Phi (or 1.618), should equal the length of the nose, and the length of the lips, while the width of the face multiplied by Phi, should equal the length of the face.

Dr. Julian De Silva, who runs the Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery in London, used the software for the analysis. “The Greeks discovered that the ratio occurs everywhere in nature and for thousands of years it has been thought to hold the secret formula of the world’s most beautiful faces,” De Silva said in the study.

Amber’s score: “eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and 12 key marker points were analyzed and found to be 91.85 percent of the Greek ratio of Phi, which is 1.618,” the study reads.

But of course, it’s not as simple as a mere measurement. “The accuracy of using the golden ratio in predicting classic beauty has been established for decades,” says Troy, MI, plastic surgeon Anthony Youn, MD. “Attractive celebrities from Marilyn Monroe and Farrah Fawcett to Amber Heard have all but proven that beauty can be more than in the eye of the beholder, but also determined mathematically. However, like music, which can also be stripped down to mathematics, there is something more to beauty than just numbers and measurements.”

“As a plastic surgeon, I am aware of the golden ratio, and use it indirectly in treating patients. I don’t map out my patients’ facial measurements to this extent, but have a general idea of which proportions look classically more attractive,” Dr. Youn adds, but stresses that many of our facial measurements cannot be changed—like the distance between the eyes—so the formula’s use is limited. “We must always keep in mind that some of the most attractive people don’t follow the golden ratio at all! They may have distinct features that make them look more striking. And above all, beauty is more than just outward looks and proportions. The most beautiful people are healthy, vibrant and exude goodness. That means more than any facial measurement.”
