Starring opposite Andie MacDowell in the hit Hallmark series The Way Home, Sadie Laflamme-Snow is having a breakout moment. Aside from her work on the multigenerational heartfelt family drama, the 24-year-old is also a bit of a beauty connoisseur and recently chatted with us about her current go-tos.

What was it like working on Season 2 of The Way Home?

Going back to film a second season of this show just felt like coming home. It sounds a bit cheesy, but this is one of the first big projects I’ve worked on, and it really is such a place of comfort and the people who work on the show are family to me. On the other hand, it was also a bit nerve wracking. The fans of the show have been so excited to see what season two would bring and I think there was a healthy kind of pressure to do right by them. We were just so grateful to come back to this story and that gratitude is such a driving force for all of us.

What was it like working with Andie? Do Andie or your co-star Chyler give you any beauty tips?

In terms of beauty tips, Andie and I both have curly hair, but she wears her hair naturally curly pretty much all the time and rocks it. I tend to straighten my curls a lot—shame on me, I know. Andie’s beauty advice to me is always to wear my curls natural more often! Every time she sees me with my naturally curly hair she tries to convert me to the curly-girl lifestyle. And it is absolutely working. Chyler [Leigh], Andie and I often text each other before events about what we are wearing for fashion and beauty advice and support. I honestly feel so honored that they want to know what I think!

Can you share any beauty products you used on-set?

I wear my hair both curly, straight and wet in the show so protecting my curls from heat and maintaining the definition is really important. Some favorite products from this season that my hair stylist Jaime Donelly introduced me to were All In One Davines Hair Milk ($40) and Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid ($30). My amazing makeup artist Patrice Boudreau introduced me to the Armani Color Corrector. I would come in to work with crazy dark circles at 5 a.m. and he would put that on under my eyes and be like “Good morning!! There’s my girl!!” It works like a charm, but I think it was discontinued so if you have a tube of it in your makeup bag, you’re sitting on an absolute gold mine.

What about the beauty products you use in your everyday life?

My current makeup favorites are Tower 28’s Cream Blush ($20), Swipe Concealer ($22) and Mascara ($20). They are just so easy to use and last all day. I’ll apply those products in the morning and I can go to a workout, do an audition and go to dinner and my makeup will still look natural and fresh when I get home. My current skin-care favorites are probably the Ilia Skin Milk ($58) and I am also a huge fan of Starface Pimple Patches ($15). They just really help me not touch my skin if I am breaking out!

What were your favorite beauty trends from the ’90s, since your character, Alice, travels there on the show.

My favorite ’90s beauty trends are definitely tightlining your eyeliner or blue eyeshadow/liner. All my saved posts on Instagram are blue eyeshadow inspo. I’m not a makeup pro by any means though, so tightlining my eyeliner is a bit more achievable for me. One ’90s beauty trend that I will not be participating in is skinny brows. They look so cool, but I take a lot of care to protect my bushy brows, so I’m team bushy brows forever.
