This Treatment Rebalances the Skin From Within—And It’s Perfect for Spring featured image

With the arrival of Spring officially here, our urge to spring clean is in full swing — but that doesn’t only mean cleaning out our closets. Spring is the perfect time to give your skin a little extra TLC after the colder months, and there’s one treatment we have our eye on for a full facial refresh this season: Glo2Facial.

If you’re unfamiliar with Glo2Facial, don’t fret. We tapped New York City-based esthetician, Cynthia Rivas, for a full rundown on what this treatment is, how it works, and who it’s best for. Read on to learn more about the treatment we’ll definitely be booking this Spring.

First, what is Glo2Facial?

“Glo2FacialTM is a one-of-a-kind treatment that incorporates three scientifically proven technologies of oxfoliation, ultrasound, and lymphatic drainage to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the skin,” explains Rivas.

The treatment works by using the brand’s patented oxfoliation technology which exfoliates away dead skin cells and impurities while also creating a CO2-rich environment on the surface of the skin. “This process increases the skin’s oxygen levels naturally, allowing for deeper absorption of active ingredients to transform the skin from the inside out,” says Rivas.

The next technology used in the treatment is ultrasound, which creates micro-vibrations in the skin. According to Rivas, this allows for increased permeability along the skin’s protective layer resulting in better nutrient absorption, increased circulation, and improved oxygenation. Lastly, the lymphatic massage technology sculpts and reduces redness and puffiness to naturally detoxify the skin from within.

What concerns does Glo2Facial treat?

Glo2Facial is a customizable treatment that can address a variety of concerns, and there are six different ways the treatment can be personalized depending on your specific issue. The available treatment plans to choose from are called balance, detox, glam, hydrate, illuminate, and revive.

Those looking to treat acne-prone skin and enlarged pores should opt for the balance option. “This treatment uses antibacterial ingredients to remove impurities, fight acne, and minimize oil production,” says Rivas. The detox option, on the other hand, treats irritated, sensitive skin as well as acne. Rivas says this selection protects the skin from environmental factors, soothes irritation, and boosts cellular renewal.

The glam treatment pick helps to prevent and reduce early signs of aging, improving rough skin texture and dullness in the process. The hydrate option, as the name suggests, treats dryness, dehydration, and keratosis pilaris. It improves the skin’s moisture retention, increases firmness, and strengthens the skin barrier.

Illuminate focuses on treating dullness, uneven skin tone, dark spots, and acne scars. And the final option, revive, works to treat fine lines and wrinkles. “This treatment improves texture and elasticity,” says Rivas.

Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Historically, there hasn’t been a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to skin care. But now, this new bespoke treatment has opened the door to revitalizing all skin types and tones. “With so many ways to customize your treatments, it truly offers solutions for all skin care needs,” confirms Rivas.

What kind of results can you expect from this treatment?

One of the biggest perks of this noninvasive treatment is that individuals will see results immediately after their appointment, and their results will continue to improve over time. You can expect glowing, healthy, younger-looking skin right away. “[Treatment] protocols can be set to a series of four to six treatments as regularly as one to two weeks apart,” explains Rivas. “After completing the series, monthly treatments are recommended to maintain the results.”

How should you prepare for this treatment?

According to Rivas, it is recommended to stop the use of all retinoids and exfoliating products at least five days before your treatment to avoid any chance of sensitivity. Additionally, you should wait 10 to 14 days after any injectables, such as Botox or fillers, before receiving a treatment in order to minimize the chances of product migration.

The Bottom Line

Ultimately, if you want immediate results with no downtime, this is a great treatment option to try. “My clients absolutely love it!” confirms Rivas. “They love the bubbles and the whole Glo2Facial experience. They all leave glowing and refreshed, making it a favorite amongst clients who want instant results.”

With support from experts and such a satisfied customer base, it feels like a no-brainer that a Glo2Facial treatment should be on your to-do list this year. And what better time to try it than during your annual Spring refresh?
