Celebs Are Proving Red Hair Is the Shade to Have Right Now

If you've been thinking about switching up your hair color this fall, you may want to borrow inspiration from the ever-growing list of celebrities who have recently gone red. Lindsay Lohan kicked off the trend earlier this week when she posted a few snaps on her Instagram of herself sporting red hair. She had previously been in a long blonde phase, bouncing between platinum and strawberry blonde, but her decidedly red locks now call to mind her Parent Trap and Mean Girls days.
Bella Thorne jumped on the red hair bandwagon next, first posting an Instagram picture of herself and her sister posing with matching hairstyles. Her hair had been transformed from strawberry blonde to a bold red shade complete with neon green ends. Her colorist Rona O'Connor said to Us Magazine, "She wanted something completely unique, fun and edgy for the holidays… She wanted to twin with her sister Dani." Her next Instagram post showed off the same dark ruby shade, minus the neon tips.

Three makes a trend, and Rihanna didn't let us down. She was spotted on the set of The Bates Motel in Vancouver with a cute red bob. We will have to wait and see if it's just a wig, but the cut and color suit her well.
Finally, as if you needed any further convincing, Amy Adams credits her successful film career to her red hair. Speaking at the New York Times-hosted TimesTalk, Adams said, "Based on roles that I was getting, called in for, people were responding to certain types of characters with me as a blonde and the minute I went red, it was quirky and fun instead of flirtatious and dumb."
It just goes to show that a change as simple as dyeing your hair can dramatically influence how others perceive you. Time will tell if the other three celebs experience the same career boost as Adams, but if they do then we might be tempted to dye our hair red too.
