An Old-Fashioned Toothpaste That Makes You See Red

An Old-Fashioned Toothpaste That Makes You See Red featured image

We get our hands on all kinds of different health and beauty products here at the NewBeauty office. Most of the time I’m very eager to try them all and share my reactions with the blogosphere. That being said, one product has been sitting in my office for quite some time now, the little French man on its yellow box staring: Email Diamant Formule Rouge.

I’ve been loyal to my Aquafresh ever since the dentist told me, “The Sesame Street toothpaste has to go.” (This was only to be followed by my doctor ending my Flintstones vitamins kick.) But I don’t want my attachment to my toothpaste to keep you from a product that seems to be pretty favorable by those in the know.

So here are the facts. Email Diamant Formule Rouge, or the “red formula” for us Yanks, is not-so-surprisingly bright red in color. Since 1893, this toothpaste claims to contain natural light reflectors and extra-gentle polishing agents that deliver an immediate whitening effect right after brushing. It is also enriched with purifying essential oils that help prevent the formation of dental plaque.

Its minty, licorice-like taste is refreshing and not overwhelming, plus it doesn’t foam up in your mouth. People swear by it. After all, it’s French and French things are worth trying, come on, Champagne, croissants, Louboutins?
