In a recent article with Who What Wear, Queer Eye’s Tan France shared his favorite makeup and skin-care products along with some of his most valuable beauty secrets.
When talking about his staple beauty products, France says he can’t live without curling his lashes, and while he doesn’t wear makeup, he always carries concealer—he calls out the CoverGirl TruBlendUndercover Concealer ($12)—in his bag in case a zit pops up. A few others on his roster: Carmex Lip Balm and ($8) and TRESemmé Hair Spray Touch Up Pen.
“In the morning, I shower and then I use Tata Harper’s Regenerating Exfoliating Cleanser ($84). It’s gorgeous,” he says of his morning skin-care routine. Next, France reaches for BeautyBio The Quench Facial Moisturizer ($125) on his forehead to avoid any wrinkles and Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream ($215) on the rest of his face. “I also love her Glow Drops ($145),” he tells Who What Wear. To protect his face from harmful UV rays, he’ll add a drop of the BeautyBio The Perfector 4-in-1 Silk SPF 30 ($75) sunscreen into his concoction of moisturizers before heading outdoors.
Lastly, he dives into hair. “I will say, the number of men who seem shocked that I use a blow-dryer. Like, what the eff is wrong with you?! Get a blow-dryer and use it! I don’t understand how men think that this just happens naturally. ANYWAY, blow-dryer, round brush, blow-dry it into place.” Before he turns on the blow dryer, he goes in with TRESemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Mousse For Frizz Control ($5). “Then, I simply put argan oil in my hair. I have incredibly coarse, dry hair, so after I blow-dry, it just helps replenish the moisture.” He also shares rave reviews on the Firsthand Clay Pomade ($22).
