We love us some long lists of customer feedback and corresponding stars at Sephora.com. The latest must-read: The commentary circling Paula’s Choice 1% Retinol Treatment ($62).

“I use this once or twice a week,” one reviewer said of the lightweight cream that also counts vitamin C and peptides in the mix. “At 66, I am often complimented on how clear and wrinkle-free my face is.”

“I’ve been using this product several times per week for the past two-to-three months and started to see improvements in my skin over the last month,” another reviewer posted. “The horizontal forehead lines that have begun to catch up to me as someone in the early 40s are less pronounced, and the sun spots I had issue with and couldn’t for the life of me ‘erase’ with concealer have faded…as someone who has used retinol for about a decade, I can attest to this one being an efficacious and reliable product to help with the aging process by making my skin smoother and brighter.”

While the one-percent retinol gets mainly rave reviews for all the “visible” results, some Sephora shoppers did categorize the product—which has 63.4K hearts—as strong. (The brand added oat, willow bark, and licorice extracts to the formula to help “soothe the skin to visibly address redness and other signs of sensitivity.”)

“I experienced some slight peeling within the first couple of weeks of using this product,” one reviewer shared. “However, the results are amazing. This product helped clear up my dark spots and acne.”
