For as long as Lush Cosmetics has been around (the brand was founded in the mid 90s), they’ve made a serious name for themselves as advocates of protecting the environment and not testing on animals. Their products are recyclable, made with as little plastic as possible and formulate with raw materials.

Just this week, Lush took their advocacies one step further and sparked conversations about animal testing by gearing up with Humane Society International to celebrate the launch of their #becrueltyfree shampoo bar, a solid shampoo bar that doesn’t require the use of plastic. (The bar was actually repackaged and renamed—it was originally known as New, which is also the brand’s best selling shampoo bar). Together, the Humane Society and Lush are trying to further spread a message to end animal testing across the globe.
