Newly engaged Kate Hudson was absolutely glowing on last night’s red carpet and, according to her makeup artist Quinn Murphy, while the ring might have been flashing, the goal was to focus on the “non-fussy” when it came to glam.
“The overall look is monochromatic and blushy, even on the eyes,” Murphy shared. “I wanted Kate to look like an active American girl who plays sports, loves nature, and being outdoors and also can throw on a gown in a quick minute and attend a black tie gala. It’s modern, not fussy and glamorous and that is what American design is all about.”
To that end, he used a variety of products from what he described as the “luxuriously textured, divinely scented” Alicia Key’s Keys Soulcare brand, including the new zinc-infused Promise Serum ($25), the peptide-rich Radiant Eye Cream ($28), the Reviving Aura Mist ($22) and Comforting Balm ($12).
Moving on to makeup, Murphy went with plant-based cosmetics from W3LL PEOPLE like the Expressionist Pro Mascara ($19), Nudist Multi-Use Cream Stick ($20), Superpowder: Loose Brightening Powder ($20) and HydroLip Gloss ($14).
