After months of trying to lose some extra weight, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss decided to undergo breast-reduction surgery, and she’s sharing all of the details.
“Let’s not let all the other diets and stuff that I’ve done confuse you into thinking that that’s what made my boobs get reduced, because it is not, honey,” says Burruss on an episode of her Speak On It YouTube show. “I did have some weight loss. I have tried some juice fasts recently. Or, excuse me, ‘juice cleanse’ recently…Yes, I did lose a couple pounds with that. I have been trying to change the way I eat. I’ve been trying intermittent fasting.”
But, despite all her efforts with dieting, she also opted for breast reduction surgery. “I went to a doctor and…he cut a chunk off of each one of them, OK?” she says. “I’m just gonna keep it 100 with you.” She also shares that she previously received liposuction and a tummy tuck to keep her weight off.
“There are so many celebrities out there who tweak and fix and they never claim it or if they do they never share who did the work unless the person did it for free and they’re doing it for a post or something like that,” she says, adding that she visited Chattanooga, TN plastic surgeon Chad Deal, MD for her procedure. “I just feel like, let’s be real with the people,” she says. “Let’s talk to the people who are out there being fans of us and fans of all these celebrities. Let them know the real. It may be somebody out there that may see some celebrity and be like, ‘Ooh I think their body is so dope,’ not knowing they can have that body, too! I just feel like, share your sources.'” After a six hour surgery, the star says her breasts finally look the way she wants them to.
